Early on she was both riding and drawing horses; no paper dolls for her! For Phyllis the horse is a living inspiration, a lifelong passion. Her life is a familiar story of girl meets horse. When riding wasn't available one could find her drawing the horse and both passions continue today. Western and cowboy culture populate the artist's work. She is constantly inspired by the nature of the horse whether they are living free or have partnered up with mankind.
